What happens at your first appointment
We listen
Your physiotherapist takes a full history — what happened, how it behaves, what you need to get back to, and what you have already tried.
We assess
A physical assessment of movement, strength and control, using objective testing where it helps, to identify the likely cause rather than only the symptom.
We explain
You will leave understanding what is going on, why, and what the likely timeframe looks like. Treatment usually begins in the same session.
We plan
A clear plan tailored to your goals, with a home exercise program sent to your phone and adjusted as you progress.
What to bring
Your private health fund card, any relevant scans or specialist letters, and clothing you can move comfortably in. If you are claiming through DVA, Medicare CDM, NDIS, WorkCover or a motor accident claim, bring your referral or claim details.
How long to allow
Around 45 minutes for your initial consultation and 30 minutes for subsequent appointments. We are at 93 Goodwood Road with easy side-street parking, and tram, train or bikeway access.
