An internationally proven education and exercise program for hip and knee osteoarthritis. Combining group education with tailored neuromuscular exercise, GLA:D helps reduce pain, improve movement and build lasting confidence — often reducing the need for medication or surgery.

Getting started

Your GLA:D certified physio performs a personalised assessment during an initial 1:1 session and will introduce you to the GLA:D program. The program includes group education plus supervised exercise sessions.

60-minute class. Bring a towel and water bottle.

What does GLA:D stand for?

Good Living with Osteoarthritis: Denmark. It is an internationally recognised program developed in Denmark and now delivered in clinics around the world.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can book an initial assessment with one of our GLA:D certified physiotherapists directly.

Can GLA:D help me avoid surgery?

Research on the program shows reduced pain and improved function, and many participants find they need less medication or are able to delay or avoid joint replacement. Your physiotherapist will talk through what is realistic for your situation.

How many people are in a class?

A maximum of six.
