Remedial Massage Wayville
Massage therapy is available at The Physio Studio for Goodwood, Plympton and Wayville residents.
Types of Massage offered at The Physio Studio
Remedial Massage
Remedial massage uses a range of specialised techniques to locate and relieve strain and tension through muscles, tendons and joints. Massage therapy supports and speeds up the body’s own recovery mechanisms.
Among the advantages of remedial massage are improved circulation and blood supply to help eliminate muscle waste, the soothing of the peripheral nervous system to lessen pain, and muscle toning and relaxation to enhance joint flexibility. This massage also aids in cell health, tissue repair, and lessening muscle stiffness and tension.
Sports Massage
Sports massage assists in the prevention and treatment of sports injuries and in recovery from activity. Sports massage is designed to work on the specific muscle groups used in your particular sport and can assist in improving blood flow, increasing flexibility and range of motion and relieving muscle pain from intensive or repeated activity. Sports massage can also be used after an event to flush out the muscles and reduce recovery time.
Deep Tissue Massage
Using firm, slow strokes, Deep Tissue massage targets the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues. The pressure in deep tissue massage is significantly more intense than that of a relaxation massage, aiding in relieving trigger points and muscle tension, and enhancing circulation.
